Week 2 of the Pac-12 season was one for the ages with major matchups everywhere you looked. The day started with Oregon shocking the Buckeyes and continued with Colorado nearly pulling off an upset of #5 Texas AM. For the nightcap, we got Stanford upsetting #14 USC 42-28, resulting in the Trojans firing Clay Helton. We present the best team, coach, and players from Week 2 action.
Team of the Week: Oregon
Who else? The Ducks pulled off one of the greatest non-conference victories in Pac-12 history with a 35-28 stunner over #3 Ohio State as 14 point underdogs.
Coach of the Week: Joe Moorhead (Oregon OC)
Joe Moorhead dazzled on Saturday with his play calls. The Oregon OC had the Ohio State defense on the ropes all game and perfectly blended the rushing and passing attacks while scoring 35 points and totaling 505 yards.
Offensive Player of the Week: CJ Verdell (Oregon)
CJ Verdell was simply spectacular on Saturday against Ohio State and without his efforts, Oregon would not have come out of Columbus with a win. Oregon's star running back racked up 195 yards on 23 touches and 3 touchdowns.
Defensive Player of the Week: Kyu Blu Kelly (Stanford)
Kyu Blu Kelly's play at corner helped limit USC's potent Air Raid offense and propelled Stanford to a 42-28 upset win. Blu Kelly had an interception return for a touchdown to go along with 7 tackles and 3 passes defended.
